Molten launches the official match ball for the 2025 IHF Women’s Handball World Championship
Molten, the official ball supplier of the International Handball Federation (IHF), presents the official match ball for the 27th IHF Women’s Handball World Championship. The tournament will take place in Germany and the Netherlands from 26 November to 14 December 2025, with 32 teams participating.
The official model, H2A5000-W5Z, is based on the A5000 series and is approved for all competitions held under IHF regulations. The ball features a soft PU surface with high grip, offering secure handling and consistent control during play. Its construction ensures stable weight, shape, and rebound performance for high-level competition.
The “Sound Wave” design is the visual theme of this edition. It is inspired by the energy of the crowd and the atmosphere of the game, represented through graphic wave patterns. The design remains clear and visible in motion, supporting ball tracking on the court and a unified tournament identity.
The production process uses materials with reduced environmental impact. Ink usage has been optimized, contributing to lower emissions during manufacturing, while maintaining durability and performance.
The championship will be hosted in five cities: Rotterdam and ’s-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands), and Trier, Stuttgart, and Dortmund (Germany). The final will be played at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam.
