How the package works

The concept of the "Transition & Progress" package allows coaches to gradually introduce young players to an official-weight basketball.

During the first part of the training session, the 400 g B5C3800-L Light basketballs can be used for warm-ups, coordination drills, ball handling, passing, shooting mechanics and technical exercises. Their reduced weight makes the ball easier for children to control and reduces the load on their arms during high-repetition drills.

Players can then progress to the Molten B5G4050 basketballs, which have the official size 5 weight of 470–500 g. This allows the techniques developed with the Light basketball to be progressively adapted to normal training and game conditions.

The three B5G4050 basketballs can be incorporated into group drills, game situations and normal-intensity practice sessions, helping young players become accustomed to the weight, feel and handling characteristics of an official competition basketball.
