The Molten B7G4550 basketball is a next-generation competition model, FIBA approved for the 2023–2027 cycle (Level 1 and 2), designed for high performance in official games and advanced training. It is part of the new BG series, replacing the GG and BG4500 lines, and incorporates Molten Advanced Basketball Technologies for superior control and consistency.

The surface is made of premium composite leather with a classic flat-pebble texture, providing excellent grip and control even in humid conditions. The distinctive 12-panel GIUGIARO® design enhances visibility during play, helping players react faster.

The laminated 4-layer construction includes a durable composite leather cover, a dual foam layer for cushioning and comfort, a nylon layer for stability, and a butyl bladder for long-lasting air retention. The additional foam layer gives the ball a softer feel, reduces hand fatigue, and improves shooting accuracy.

Compared to the BG4050, the BG4550 offers increased comfort and durability. The reduced logo surface increases the contact area, improving grip and handling.

This model is used in national and international competitions, including by the Romanian Basketball Federation (FRB), and is considered one of the most advanced indoor basketballs available.
